Testimony on my coaching intervention
In pursuance of excellence, one must embrace the prospect of having a coach. There comes a point in one’s career where the intervention of a coach is required to bring clarity to one’s purpose. For the longest period I have been coming up with a new purpose almost every half year. It is through the coaching session I went through with Mr Abas Alhassan that the aspect of defining one’s purpose was fully clarified to me in the simplest way I could ever imagine. A very simple question unlocked the mystery for me. He just asked me “ what makes you happy?”. As soon as I reflected deeply into that question, I realised that the drivers to that happiness is where my purpose lives. Thanks so much for opening my eyes to the realisation that so much power is embodied within us as individuals, and we waste so much time looking for it somewhere else. I would recommend this coach to anyone aspiring to realise their full potential.

Banker | Abas had the ability to probe, understand my situation, constructively criticise, challenge my views and allowed me to reach my own conclusion and solutions. This he did with patience, careful articulation and a view to help me be a better leader and professional. Thanks for the guidance thus far Abas and I look forward to more engagements in future. |
HR Practitioner | Through coaching, Abas my thinking partner and sounding board provided a safe space to find the answers I needed – which always resided with me but through coaching I experienced a new level of questioning which delved into my emotive side, my decision making processes and my default mechanisms.
I have learnt valuable skills and concepts that have now become life lessons. |
Risk Practitioner | Abas assisted me to organise my priorities by asking leading questions that prompted me to think and find solutions. This went on through the year and we ensured that we have at most three actions to work on after the coaching sessions. The coaching assisted me to concentrate on the vital few things that had the most impact on my priorities and to unlock that thinking and that potential. |
Project Manager | You have been very insightful. You have also made me to think about things I wouldn’t normally and ah, “I didn’t know the answer to all of this.” You are also very calm. So that also rubbed off on me a little bit. |
